This full-time in-house position involves editorship and marketing of a pop music and karaoke themed blog / video-blog, centered upon Stingray Digital's new online karaoke platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience creating compelling and popular online content in the form of the written word and web-video pieces. The online location of previous projects and or articles/videos shall be required upon application. Excellent writing skills are a primary requirement.
Familiarity with basic production and post production techniques for internet quality video is considered an asset. An energetic, extroverted, engaging on-camera personality is a must.
The ideal applicant will have a specific background in karaoke pop music entertainment and marketing, but if you have a general interest in the pop music world, you understand and are active in the social media world, and you're comfortable in front of a camera and keyboard, you will be seriously considered.
The responsibilities will consist of writing on a daily basis for the blog, and co-ordinating other part-time remote bloggers who contribute.
Additionally a low-fi video production will be a weekly requirement. Creativity will be your greatest asset.
Consistent participation and commenting on relevant industry forums and blogs is a daily part of social media marketing and search engine optimization tasks, and as such will compose a portion of your responsibilities.
