Summer 07- Ir Brasileno Belleza!
This summer it’s all about being a Brazilian Bronzed Beauty. So unless you are a native Latino supermodel like Giselle Bunchen or Enrique is planning to whisk you off to Rio for the weekend, its time to look to the make up counters, grab the false tan and go with the glow for Summer 07!
Illuminating and shimmering eye colours sparkle in metallic bronzes, burnt caramels and golden honeys with cream eye shadows being a big feature this season. A pale gold eyewash is subtle enough to wear to the office with a coat of jet black waterproof mascara and a light terracotta pressed powder. Try to keep it light and subtle with the glow in daytime or you could end up looking more like Hawaiian Barbie than Brazilian Babe!
There are some fantastic cream highlighters on the market that you can use across the cheekbones in shades of warm sun kissed gold with tiny shimmering particles for a glowing healthy look. These can also be used across the shoulders and décolletage area to embellish a light tan – fake of course!
Be prepared to shine with super luscious lips whether your opt for a sheer lipstick or a colourful gloss in shades of warm coral and light brown. If you are concentrating on your eyes balance the look with a subtle lick of a bronzed gloss which is all you need for a finishing touch – ir brasileno belleza! (go Brazilian Beauty)
Robert Craig - Color Care Crusader
The hairdressers name in every celebs little black book at the moment is Robert Craig: For every woman who’s ever had a bad hair day, week or month, Mr. Craig is a knight in shining armour. Or rather a knight with a shining conditioner, treatment shampoos and a color hair chart to die for.
Robert Craig’s career has seen him highlighted, glossed and glazed into hair history since entering the business back in the big hair days of the 80’s, when perms were hot and the ultimate sin was straightening. This quickly led him to his own hip Manhattan salon in 1987 which he co owned with one of Canada’s premiere hair colorists Karen Heibert. Robert has snipped, trimmed and gloriously colored the elite hair needy from Beauty Editors and business professionals to TV, film and Broadway stars.
His commitment to offer hair advice to the bad hair day masses led him to close his salon in New York and launch his own website www.robertcraig.com to offer help worldwide and pursue the creation of his exclusive hair care line. The Robert Craig Signature Haircare Line is the result of years of research and client testing. Robert developed this line for his personal clientele and today his products are highly recommended by the world’s top travel and beauty press. Each product is tested and must pass rigorous standards before Robert gives his final approval to produce and market it. His shampoos are based on the varying degrees of hardness of the water with which they are used rather than hair type, and the rest of the line is water soluble. This allows the hair to receive the right amount of gentle cleansing with no buildup of product even on chemically treated hair.
Robert gives his specialized color creations names such as ‘Pecan’, ‘Golden Oak’ and ‘Antique Mahogany’ which are available in 21 intermixable gorgeous shades. Free of ammonia, peroxide and alcohol, he mixes a separate color formulation for each client, many of whom are celebrities, and never applies one client’s formula to another client’s hair – an unforgivable sin in the bible of celeb hair coloring! He maintains that even if you go through a major brown to blonde color change you shouldn’t end up with dry, damaged and over processed hair and people should not be able to tell that your hair has been colored. So watch out Paris Hilton, blonde sisters are set to swell this spring!
Robert has twice been named one of the top hair color artists in the country by Allure Magazine and shares his expertise with hair color on his website. Get an on-line hair color and hair care consultation and purchase Color by Robert Craig Permanent Hair Color or Robert Craig Salon Products. The "No More Bad Hair Days Kit" has become a cult product in the US and has been featured in the top beauty magazines, recommended by beauty editors, and are now sold throughout North America through his mail order company: The kit comes with 12 test strips, 3 shampoos for different water and a spray on leave in conditioner. If you’re traveling frequently and your hair is color treated, water can play havoc on your hair and your hair will not perform like it does at home. Robert went to work on this problem after clients who traveled on business came back complaining that their usual shampoo didn’t perform in the way it did back home. Don’t you wish that all the men in our life were that thoughtful and not just our hairdressers?
In Hollywood, where no star worth her jewel-encrusted Jimmy Choos can afford to have a bad hair day, the power colorist is a girl's best friend. Celebrity tinter Robert Craig helps even the coloring virgin create the sort of gorgeous looks that have women ripping covers off magazines and speed-dialing their hairdresser…an hour with Robert Craig is definitely soul selling stuff!
