The Knight News Challenge is a contest for people with projects or ideas that use digital media to deliver news and information, and foster community in a specific geographic area. They've got $5 million earmarked for this year's winners, and anyone from any country of any age can enter.

Education-Passionate Blogger Needed
Hello My name is Tracy,
I have just started applying for blogging positions. I have extensive training in computers and have a great knowledge of search engines. Also I have three children in schools. They are all in different areas of education. Which range from kindergarten to primary to secondary school. My middle child is attending a primary school whose soul purpose is to expand on the children's education. So they have included to the children's education by making an Eco Garden for the children to tend to which includes fruit trees and tanks to water the garden. They have also put chickens and ducks in the garden in a pen. The children and some parents keep the garden looked after. They also recently had a free violin lessons for all children from grade four upwards. They also recently got permission from the government and funding to build a brand new kitchen. The reason for this is they have also started, which has been ongoing now for 4 years, a cooking program for children from grade 4 upwards. The children then learn these cooking skills and procede to invite a parent, or other family member at the end of each term to come and taste their wares. I look forward to working with you.
