Not a Prolific AC writer, but the Biline did get me a Press Pass
For all the reasons mentioned above writing for AC can be a very valuable tool for bloggers. I've probably made less than $25 writing for AC. However, the articles that I have there were good enough to qualify me for a Press Pass at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas last year and that was priceless.
I doubt that too many people could repeat that, but the exposure from AC can be valuable.
I'm not suggesting that people take advantage of AC, but work it like a partnership. The only reason why I have not written more there is mostly due to the learning curve of figuring out what works there and what doesn't work there. What sells there and what doesn't sell.
I've dabbled, while others have done a lot more work in that area. It should not be dismissed.

AC is having problems and is
AC is having problems and is not recommended until they sort them out. Hopefully, it's a temporary glitch, but the site isn't treating its writers very well right now.
Associated Content Disregards their Affiliates
I was AC's #1 referrer for several months. I don't expect to be treated like royalty, but it would be nice if they would at least respond to my emails.
They give you a unique referral link, but do not compensate you in the least bit for the authors you send their way. However, they give away thousands of dollars to those authors you sent them in prizes etc. In other words they want something for nothing!
They provide somewhat of a decent opportunity to those who need to make a few extra bucks writing, but the couple dollars they pay for content is not worth the time and effort to write it.

This I guess would be my first blog ,Iam popping my blogging cherry right here on Performancing ! Being a male Iam not sure that would be the proper way to put it. Iam a fifty year old born and raised in Chicago ,now living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I come from a very large Italian family and still have many relatives living in Chicago ! I have two Brothers ,one Sister , Twenty Three first cousins and even have relatives in Italy I have never even seen ! I was single till the age of 36 ,when I marrieed my wife of 15 years this June. we have a 13 year old girl (Oh Boy,why cant they stay toddlers)and a 11 year old boy . I will be fifty one in Agust and after working two jobs and six days a week for 17+ years I find myself unemployed ,causing all kind of problems in my life ,problems with my marriage ,of course financial problems, and just aoverall deprssed and lost. I really do not have any special skills and even if I did ,most would hire a younger man or women over me ! I buy lottery tickets twice week , however I really do not expect to win ! The Lottery jut gives me a dream to go to ! Well I guess my first blog is not so exciting however I promise te wll ge better and much more interesting !

I also feel the same. I have been a content producer at AC since an year and still am not able to figure out what type of content is more popular there. I have tried varied topics but still have a very low page view numbers.

I am a new writer. While I am not sure what works, I plan to write about what I know. I've recently wrote a piece called "Discreet Girlfriends" on this website.
