[...] Personally, I’d pick Twitter and Facebook, but it really depends on your content and your social networks. Promoting content successfully online really is about who you know and whether they’ll share your content. If you can get them to do it regularly, even better. Your Facebook Wall or a Fan Page serve as great reminders. Just don’t overdo it, and learn to balance promotion and social network building tasks when you’re not writing.
These tips are wonderful, Raj. You are reminding me that commitment regardless of mood is essential to good blogging.

And thank you, David Walker. Sometimes we forget simply "old school" methods that are cheap and highly effective - like a pad and pen in your pocket.

best regards,

Joanna

Great post! I have something that I wanted to add. Carrying a small notebook and a pen around everywhere you go is a great alternative to an ipad. Often times when you are just starting out you don't have the money to go out and buy an ipad. A pen and paper may not be as convenient, but works when you don't have the money for something to make it easier. A small notebook can also easily fit into a pocket or purse so it is easy to take with you.

Thanks for all of the useful tips. They are sure to come in handy. I will definitely be trying the Dragon Dictation for the ipad. That can save a lot of time and energy on blogging!!
